And yes I’m sure they’re bots. I saw them crafting. I saw them gathering. You don’t even need the anti-cheat to notice they’re cheating. Not to mention that when plogoons are down the prices of for instance pots go from 1400 to 6000. Why is that a problem? Because I want to make the gil from crafting and I can’t. I want the devs to rework crafting in a way that it will be almost impossible to bot it or otherwise ban these cheaters, so that we can have a healthy economy. I feel so sorry for the honest crafters that play on consoles. And I don’t believe these lodestone post, to me these are just random numbers, or maybe it’s the number o banned gil selling spammers.

It's not even about black mage or crafter bots. It's about the, hopefully, innate human capacity for perspective-taking. I hope you actually seriously reflect on how your legitimate grievances with crafting are the same as those grievances made by BLM players.

"Some" does a lot of work there. Loads of visual novels don't have multiple endings or branching stories, yet are enjoyable and engaging regardless. A player is an active participant not because of these bells and whistles, but by virtue of being an audience through which the medium comes to life.

Personally, I don't care and it doesn't matter for the point of this thread. MSQ is the selling point of the expansion. It is -bare minimum- to provide MSQ content. It's not a fancy gimmick. Acting like SE is generous for handing us MSQ is just ridiculous. As we mostly only sit and watch MSQ unfolding ONCE, I can not see this as gaming content either. Plus the MSQ is not the best in this expansion which made many players skip on purpose, which is a shame and entirely on the devs.

But then again some people act like playing sam with kaiten was as hard as juggling 100 knives blindfolded, and how sam without kaiten is not a sam anymore but whm or archer.

If I was a player who only cared about msq and I wasn't feeling it this expansion, I'd unsub for most of the year and resub at the end of the patch cycle in advance of the next expansion. That's what a reasonable person would do. I don't think most people only care about msq, like you say, though. I think people like other things in this game. At the end of the day we're all expected to be adults here and it's up to each of us to choose how we spend our money. If you think you don't get enough out of your subscription, there's an easy course of action you could take. So I'm sure we all agree that most people who remain subbed find the game is worth the cost of their subscription.

Jokes aside, good amount of veterans have already had their trust running dangerously low at this point. For example: remember StB Lilies? How community reacts and what was SE's responses? And ho boi how they turned out---why are we even surprised---quite possibly one of the worst job gauges they could've come up with? Adding insult to the injury, they basically also spent the entire worth of expansion trying to salvage the system before finally indirectly admitting how the gauge was a failure by ShB (a.k.a. oh my gosh the community is actually correct!) and rehaul'd them while also starting to adopt the "Yeah we're not going to speak much about job adjustments now lol"-stance?

And that, is only one of the example. Going back to tread their track record we'll find more or less the same pattern of occurrence happening several times. No wonder the best treatment for any jobs nowadays is "to get ignored by the devs" unless you're a healer/tank main.
