Why do casual players seem entitled to cosmetic items added in game?

Fair. But I'd suggest it does mean it is guaranteed to be a massively unpopular decision, and whether that is right or wrong is sort of irrelevant when a large chunk of the player base is already spitting nails.

Like objectively I can think of no way of determining whether a hairstyle locked behind chaotic or (another effing pointless) framing kit locked behind rank 10 series PvP is "correct."

I think we're missing a vital piece of the puzzle here.

People get pissed when "casuals" enter high-end content [without learning their role, job or the content first].

If cosmetic items encourage someone to take the leap into high-end content, I think that's great. But please do yourself and everyone else a favour and spend a little bit of time preparing first. People shouldn't just jump in and either expect the content to fall over on its own or for other people to carry them.

No that's not my entire argument. Its one of the reasons. I listed others if you actually care to read them. I agreed with you about PCT on the PCT threads but I don't agree with you on this. Its the fact they added a hairstyle to a type of content that has been proven will die after the hardcore raider are done with it. We saw it with Crit duns and we see it happen again with this content. Also yes you can buy it but tell me how many casual players you know have 50 to 100 mil gil just sitting around? That price isn't going to go down either since farming the hairstyle isn't easy(46 clears I believe Mr happy said in his video today about this). As I said before it will get even harder to get in few months when ppl get bored of the fight and move on to the next shiny new fight. Like I said one another reply to you today, my ONLY issue is the hairstyle and that it. The fight already have 2 MOUNTS, a minion and 730i glam gear. If it also needed the hairstyle to get ppl to clear the fight then maybe just maybe the devs should used the time design this fight for something ease that the midcore players could also enjoy.

Okay so the other part of your point is “content will die because there isn’t enough incentive to run it so the solution is to give it even less rewards to ensure it’ll die even faster”. Like I’m not sure how to explain that if you are worried about content dying then ripping even more rewards out of it is exactly what you shouldn’t be doing as most people who cleared criterion agree it’s really good content it just does because it has no rewards. An expensive hairstyle and mounts is the bare minimum of what rewards should be in the content. That’s about the same rewards as DRN of all content

And where is this idea coming from that casual players are unlikely to have money lying around, if anything they should have more money than hardcore players because being a casual is free, like what are you even spending money on as a casual

Ehh. I disagree. Part of the problem with content longevity is the lackluster rewards to incentivize people. Putting all the highly desired stuff in "lowest denominator" content essentially wastes it as a inventive tool. Unless you make it heavily RNG based, which people also complain about.

Where the hell are they getting the money from? Most ppl I know are not making mils and mils of gil a month in this game unless they are really into crafting. AGAIN Im not saying the fight shouldn't have rewards. Im saying one of the rewards shouldn't be a damn hairstyle. How is that so hard to understand???? Either we never going to see eye to eye on this so I won't be replying to you on this topic anymore. The fact this hairstyle is in thing savage-level fight is dumb and its not going to save the fight either. This one hairstyle isn't going to keep this fight popular for months and months so I don't think removing will change anything. Either enjoy the nightmare that is PF for this dumbass content. Enjoy it being died in 6 months aswell.

Guess they better start leveling or somethin'.

At least its both obtainable in-game (as opposed to Online Store) and tradeable/marketable (I think?).

I would've paid a lot of gil if I could to buy the Island hairstyles (one of which was seen in-game as early as HW's relic series).

Unfortunately those were not tradeable and market prohibited, alas.

It might help if rewards somehow matched the theme of the content? Like a CoD mount from a CoD raid makes sense. Does the hairstyle have any connection to the raid? Or is it like the PvP gear coffer this season that has absolutely nothing to do with PvP unless you happen to like fighting dressed as a sulking teenager from the 90s with abysmal fashion sense.

Wait so the option is given to buy it if you don’t want do the content and options are given for casuals to make money and neither option is considered sufficient

What do people even do with Gil in this game if they don’t do any high end content but also don’t want pay for glam

Like spend a few hours in eureka and you have millions, you can make millions from crafting, hell you can make thousands every day for running AIN then greeding on everything and selling the seal products. Like what else do you want
