Nope Gaius is a joke compared to Darnus! An NPC tells you that Gauis was a ruler of a city like Ala Mhigo that was taken over by the Empire, and the person who lead the attack on his city was clade in White armor he said. this was before Darnus was added. Besides some one who can drag a Meteor to our world by Himself ( without the black materia even!) is far more cooler. Gauis killed all the people in the meeting you have on the main story quest ok. that was about 15-20 people. Darnus kill......... half of Eoreza. And yes to the person that mention he was the 7Th i noticed that and loled a bit, guy ina Huge military role who goes batshit crazy, summons meteor, who gets vaporized when killed. And sometime looks like he sweat the main character the way they talk to us. And has a weapon that your screaming at the screen of you tv like you character can actually hear you to grab their god damn weapons when they are dead. except the difference between Darnus and Sephiroth is, Darnus succeed.

Turns out Darnus was just being controlled/possessed by Dalamud via the spear. We saw it fall down to the surface where inevitably someone else will pick it up and become the new Darnus!

That or magitek cyborg, I'm fine with either.

Seriously he is a very badass enemy to see him go to waste is honestly heart breaking, he didnt even get a voice to forever haunt my dreams. For a guy who most likely only second to maybe the Emperor unless SE does have something up their sleeves which i hope they do. Nael Van Darnus will fall into the Shadows as he never existed, none of the ps3 or new people while have a clue to whats going on.

As long as he doesn't drop the earring. It's supposed to be a limited time reward.

god no. that should be only for the people who beat him up to this point. In 2.0 nope to late so sad.

he will at least be in cutscenes and lore

as long as the earrings don't come back, sure.

I dont mean just the fight btw, i mean the person as in story line wise.
