The irony with releasing Chaotic Cloud of Darkness on December 24th and this sentence is not lost on me.

This is and always has been a silly excuse for their drip feed nonsense. The people who Chaotic Alliance appeal towards will be done pretty much everything 7.1 offers in the same day it drops. All they're doing is putting a sub incentive later into the patch cycle because 7.1 is, well, kind of lacking.
Instead, the patch proper is going to feel completely barren even for raiders literally the day it drops. And then everyone gets to scramble to make something work on Christmas Eve of all days. That's an absolutely asinine release schedule. They specific said they wanted to avoid major holidays but sure, let's drop a EX/Savage raid on Christmas Eve.
God forbid they upside their delicate formula and release new gear on par with tome/savage ahead of time. Imagine the chaos?!
[Extremely loud incorrent buzzer] THAT IS A BAIT COMMENT (it has to be)
Your statement is the reason why people push against more ultimates. "Why sacrifice a healthy ammount of content for an Ultimate that only 1% do?" And such
Telling someone to do Ultimate for the patch to last is as tone deaf as when Yoshida said that if you wanted to have fun healing try ultimates
We should strive for better quality content for everyone, we are all consumers of the same product. Doing PR for them is just gonna make patches stretch out longer and more items into the mogstation jesus christ
Seriously. What's the point of the custom deliveries. We all finished leveling crafters and gatherers the week of release because you can just power thru it. What's the point of any of this content...
Content where they can copy/paste the background system, place it in a new location and have a new NPC.
The part of this that will take the longest to create is writing the text for the NPC and item description.
And it makes people do this "content" for 5-6 weeks for the story part.
