I am curious as to why it's not impacting me as bad as others? I have Spectrum. I'm in Florida (so East Coast) and everything is normal. Last Friday I did have some bad lag in alliance raid, but I've never disconnected. On Dynamis/Seraph. Is it possible I am not being routed through this hateful NTT node?
I'm on Spectrum but haven't experienced any recent lag in Ohio. My static mates that are much further south and not on Spectrum have had issues.
Im not on Spectrum, but live east coast. I don't get d/ced but oftentimes during evening/night I start lagging. It's not "I cannot play" bad but it's noticeable and does affect what I feel comfortable with playing/helping out with. I play a lot during the day and it's normally fine then.
We swapped to the NTT node because SE decided to partner with NTT for their servers (and as a byproduct we are stuck with that node).
All for the promise of "better server infrastructure" when obviously it was a cost-cutting maneuver since they got a good contract with NTT.
Here we go again.

I have to turn on my VPN and play through that. I don't like doing it, but it's the only thing I have that can mitigate the issue.
Classic Square Enix, ignoring the east coast playerbase of NA with connection issue. There a thread on Tech Support with the same issue. A Moderator send a response for connection issue, but let's be real they only do it to hide rug or "help" you to calm down the playerbase and keep continue business as always. Sadly there no fix until they add a server or cloud server on east side of NA. Until then, enjoy buggy laggy game named Final Fantasy XIV.
