Beastmaster and feral souls... I hope they will give us pets.

Beast master and Morpher should be two different distinct jobs. Let's not have another case of Ranger/Bard being merged into one job out of nowhere.

If this isn't a normal, proper pet class, I'll skip it.

I certainly hope the beastmaster fantasy is closer to Bozja and Lyon, that its from ala mhigo as we know they practice it there.

I really hope I'm wrong and it does turn out to be a proper BST (like FFXI and other games) with a newly designed pet AI system the devs want to try out to use on other jobs in the future job rework, but then again I though Island Sanctuary (when announced) may be the precursor to instanced housing . . .

If you did the raid story you'll know the wol considers the beast souls a evil thing to be using, if we turn around and use them as a beast master, that'll be character assassination and turn them into hypocrites

Our character has been made to be clearly against using souls as referenced by the Arcadion raid story.

Yeah the WOL seems incredibly opposed to Alexandria’s soul tech even going so far as to only agree to even participate with the victory condition of releasing accumulated souls and then the post M4 story swapping to the WOL forcibly shutting down the Arcadion’s best soul usage by becoming grand champion and releasing every soul the arcadion has

The game has never made a class choice for something the WOL canonically hates an option so I seriously doubt they will start now

I also like to think they know the backlash they'd get if *BEASTMASTER* wasn't a ff11 beast master.

I promise you square nobody cares if the pets are janky as long as they are PETS

They have a few options for what they can do with the job, like bringing over FF11's Beastmaster as best as they can for one example, as well as what NPC or NPC's they can use for said job quests, like a certain old man and/or lalafell for example.

The only thing they really cannot do for Beastmaster though is go the route of feral souls. It's been pretty much screamed at us with the MSQ / Raid story that using souls is wrong, that excessive use of feral souls is extremely bad from what they can do to your body and soul, and how our character is pretty much pushed with the mindset of "Using souls is wrong. I will never use souls, and you should actually just free them all." It'd be a bit hypocritical for the devs to suddenly decide to do a 180 with Beastmaster and go "Well ACTUALLY since you're the WoL, with all your strength and experience, the excessive use of feral souls won't affect you at all, so you can use these feral souls freely with absolutely no drawbacks or restraint!" and then have our character agree to it.

As much as i am hoping for an old style FFXI tyype Beastmaster, my old ffxi main, i have zero trust in the SE team to make this possable
