Gaming Mac's make me lulz.
However, it would make this game more approachable if it was supported for Mac (lol).

I would like to see this game come to mac as well. Not for me (I'm a PC user), but for my sister, so she could play with me (she owns a mac).
I am playing on a Mac right now via Wineskin. It's a lot easier than having to use boot camp.
SE could port it over to Mac using 3rd party tools that wrap Directx. TransGaming is a company that does this. Bioware uses them to port all their games to the Mac.
Money and profitability are the limiting factors here.
Someone would need to present a full blown business case for it to happen... >_>
I suggest doing this in Windows 7.
- Go to control panels and choose Display. You should see a window titled Make it easier to read what's on your screen.
- On the left choose Set custom text size (DPI).
- Select 200% from the drop down menu that appears after "Scale to this percentage of normal size."
- Use Windows XP style DPI scaling must not be enabled.
- Press OK and then Apply. You will be told you need to log out of Windows for the change to take effect. When you log back in, you'll see Windows is now running at 192 DPI. Not quite Retina but as close as Windows will let you get.
FFXIV should be set to run with a Windows size of 1440x900 since it will also be effected.
Not sure if it has been mentioned, but we maintainers over at Winehq.org have the solution for you to run in OSX and Linux without using bootcamp or a hypervisor.
