House availability on Dynamis

There seems to be some misinformation here so I wanna clarify a couple of things.

Travel lock to the 3 older NA datacenters will last until patch 7.05 at the latest. That's on July 30, 4 weeks after launch when savage launches. The current estimate for lifting travel restrictions is patch 7.01, 2 weeks after launch.

There is no hard lock on being able to buy a house on the new Dynamis servers. Some houses already have bids and this can be verified in game. The current bidding cycle ends in 21 hours so people still have time to transfer if they want a private mansion with zero competition.

The only "lock" is when you make a new free company. A player has to be a member of the fc for 30 days before bidding.

Yep, they even opened the new servers on the first day of a bidding cycle, so people that were there day 1 could bid right away. I think they’re on their second lotto right now.

I'm definitely not giving up on asking for it.

But how many people want to keep waiting years for a maybe that doesn't happen? I'd rather make the best use of what is available than deny myself completely hoping that things will change 5 years from now. If SE does decide to change things, it will not happen overnight.

Just speculation and not to be taken seriously by anyone: they've called Cosmic Exploration the new Restoration. Is that just in the sense of it's more of a community oriented effort or is it because it will be leading up to new housing in 8.x? If the later, "cosmic" is fairly broad where the Firmament was a specific location. Could it be an instanced system more along the lines of what we've seen in other games? I don't think I will ever give up my dream of seeing RIFT Dimensions added here. That housing system in the FFXIV universe with the FFXIV graphics style would be fabulous.

Correct. I have several friends who picked up houses in the first lottery and they've been decorating them while waiting for Early Access.

The second lottery entry period ends tomorrow morning (NA time). Still a huge number of larges and mediums available on the 4 new worlds.

Wouldn’t that be a dream? :D I’d be totally satisfied with an instanced plot that I could pick the background scenery (ie: neighborhood or location theme) of… anything more would make me ecstatic!

it is wise not assume change to happen overnight this i know, but at the same token lets keep up our persistence in asking is all i am saying we won't know anything tell they they just lay it out plain for us why it will or will not happen.

at the very least island sanctuary taught me some things about what they can do with instanced based space and while its a reach to say that it will lead to a personal lot or home its still a hope that they've seen what we've asked for an are experimenting with ideas.

i'd like it if this cosmic exploration lead to us owning a little moon that'd be cute and fun but my bet is that its not gunna be like that more than likely it will be very much the same as the firmament or the doman enclave just a spot we helped build up an can visit on occasions or for endgame content etc.

BTW, the preliminary patch notes have a huge update on Dynamis (and the EU worlds added in 2022) housing. All 30 wards will be open Saturday and lot of the full set will be changed to mixed FC/private plots.
