What we want as healers: A coherent List

SCH chages
Bane - In the form of Deployment Tactics to avoid increasing button bloat
Energy Drain - Just make it AoE damage. no increase to potency
Fey Blessing - AOE burst heal cost 50 fairy gauge. Heals + shields. (potential remove Aetherpact?)
Summon Seraph - Uses Seraphic Veil when leaving the battle field if skill is off cooldown.

Sage - Make Toxikon a follow up from using Addersgall. to avoid overwriting shields with scholars
OR Shield healers should stacks heals.

AST
Umbral Draw - instead gives 2 DPS buff, one for melee one for ranged so the 2 minute burst is not favouring only the melee.

WHM
Holy no longer stuns, instead blinds the target.

It's mainly for flavor, and not really anything crucial, but I just felt it was odd that 3/4 healers have to stand in melee range to AOE. If WHM players are fine with it being PB then I can change it.

I think holy is already unique enough in that it’s casted but non targeted and 8 yalms while the rest are 5

Honestly AST nor being in melee range is the annoying one

Remember the forums are the very vocal minority. What you think everyone wants is actually most likely not want most people want at all. Type ffxiv healer strike on twitter and be prepared to see the opinions of ppl who dont post here, who don't have to be afraid to recieve backlash for their true opinion on the subject bc of forum echo chamber.

It's a fallacious assumption to think that just because people aren't talking about something means that there isn't a significant number of people who wish healers could be better.

Silence does not equal approval or acceptance.

i simply stated that most ppl don't post here, so you can't speak for everyone. I don't want to be spoken for and neither do many others. No one assumed anything. If anything , you are the one assuming which side I'm on in all of this.

I mean I’m not in the habit of speaking for other people but aren’t you doing literally exactly the same thing “what you think everyone wants is actually most likely not what most people want”

The whole point of a silent majority is they are silent, they don’t get a say either way if they choose to not have a say

Im not making any points for or against or speaking for any side or making any list saying what "WE" want. Im speaking for myself. It should be common sense, that not everyone is in agreement on this subject who plays healer. Stating this fact is not speaking for anyone. It is ridiculous to imply so.

This silent majority you speak of, has been very vocal on social media, only to be torn down here on the forums for their opinion on this, so you should'nt be surprised that alot of ppl are refraining from speaking on the healer thread and instead taking to social media. This is a perfect example of that. I simply said you can't speak for everyone, and that alone was enough for someone somehow deduce that I am against any improvements being made to healer. This. This is the reason that thread became an echo chamber of some of the most horrendous takes for healer I've ever seen, overshadowing the good ones. I don't want to be spoken for as a healer, by someone who has barely touched my class at decently skilled level nor has touched a savage/ulti a single day in their life, and I'm not the least bit sorry for saying this.

No im saying you both saying “the majority of people probably don’t agree with you” and “the silent majority is very active on twitter” while also saying “im speaking for nobody but myself” is talking out of both sides of your mouth

I also don’t agree with the OP phrasing this post as a conclusive WE implying everyone but you can’t come in and say “don’t speak for us all I only speak for myself (oh also the silent majority doesn’t agree with you)”. That is 100% talking out of both sides of your mouth
