Lmao, what a tragedy Forspoken was. The idea of it wasn't terrible, but the execution on the other hand was a trainwreck. I gave it a try but ended up not liking it either. It's plagued by poor storytelling, campy dialogue which was what I assumed to be an attempt at making witty and clever banter between characters, and a lot of repetitive missions and empty zones. In fact it wouldn't surprise me if proceeds from FFXIV provided some funding for these games in the first place. XIV is one of SE's highest earning games.

Yes, citizen, those stupid metal rings talking with the main character. I'd say it hardly qualifies as banter and it's much more comparable to two characters who actually despise each other.

FF14 is not a huge chunk of their profits, it is the last they gonna touch

It's not going to affect XIV. It's one of the few ventures that have low risk for good return for SE currently.

Just to point things out but a ton of major/massive gaming company have taken a steep nose dive in finances as of late, (along with quality) so hopefully execs will start changing for better, as the current "meta" for them just doesnt well anymore!
