The graphics are improved, but the art style is where it's falling short in a lot of cases. It's the latter that determines how well the graphics will age over time. Your textures and meshes don't matter if you don't have the fine anatomical details down right, and that's why player feedback on this is important. If anything, it's a testament to how good the art style was on some of the originals. They need to maintain that art standard on the new models.
Reddit isn't an ideal place for such a discussion because threads have a relatively short lifespan and not everyone is going to have an opinion on a Face 4 Highlander. At least in here, the relevant designer can see what recommendations players are making on their specific designs, and some of the feedback is actually really well articulated/drawn out with face maps and such. This is the most productive that I've ever seen this subforum.
There are people like that, and they are currently tearing out their hair in clumps because they have to comb over dozens of pages of hysterics.
It's sad because threads with good feedback might get overlooked in favor of threads where people doompost because their characters were turned into unrecognizable monstrosities.

Dude, all I'm saying is that whatever this place was supposed to be, in practice, is little more than a mess filled with a bunch of nonsense and bloated information that hardly helps anyone.
I'm out. I'm wasting my time.
