Right! You could create a ranch theme or something similar
The demo system is a way for SE to make money, if you think they care about "active" players having houses, you are very mistaken, that's why I have repeated on this forum a million times that housing is the way SE wants it to be, they dont want it to change, they are swimming in money from people locked up to housing, it's all on purpose. And before you mention it, that doesnt mean I want instanced housing, not at all actually because it'd be absolutely depressing to have that, but I had to point out the real goal behind auto demo.Quote:
Like, in theory, the demo system is a way to keep "active people" owning houses, but that's really just not what happens; and it's probably a large reason the neigbhorhood feeling we both actually want just doesn't happen
If you think about it, having auto demolition is pretty essential for housing with a limited number of plots. Without it, there eventually would be next to none new plots outside of game updates since very few would willingly relinquish their slots or even remember to do it.
Either way it's safe to say it's not a system that makes square tons of money since they could turn it off for two years on every datacenter when the pandemic hit, and continue to do so whenever disaster strikes somewhere across the world
I mean, subs are the way this game makes money. However, the demo system is there to recylycle plots back into the housing market for an active player to get and use.
No one and I mean no one. Is forced to keep paying that sub if they don't want too. Yeah you lose virtual property but who cares.
Like this is what I don't get. What do these people get out of it who only sub to make sure they haven't lost the plot but not play (these people exist everywhere). You don't want to play then let the virtual property go.
No one has a gun to anyone's head telling them they have to sub. Everyone has the freedom to drop the sub if they don't want to play.
So what you are saying is wrong. Especially when yoshi p says it's ok to take a break lol.
This is on the players themselves. Besides apartment is 500k and you don't lose it
The person you're speaking to maintains an untold number of paid service accounts (enough that they rely on spreadsheets to keep track of all of their houses) for the sole purpose of owning as many houses as possible. I don't think she's referring to most people when she says that the demo system is how SE makes money. The demo system ensures that people like her who have many houses to their names must continue to pay for each account in order to maintain ownership of these plots. If the demo system were done away with, they would not need to continue paying for those accounts, and could simply give tenancy for each home to their main.
I'm sorry do you and I know each other for you to assume why I do things ? Are we friends ? Did we ever talk in person about what I do and why I do it ? If you want to have that conversation I'll gladly meet up with you in game and we can talk about it.
But until then, I dont think so, so I'd like it if you could keep your own opinions to yourself in regards to why I do things at the very least, thank you. You are free to talk about the fact I have many houses obviously, but you saying why I do it is literally you assuming and I dont find that very fair, thanks.
And yes the way SE does the auto demo system is for making money, even for people on 1 subscription, they still cant unsubscribe.
Yes they can. No one has a gun to their head or forcing it. It's you and those players mentality. You can't seem to separate reality from fantasy. Owning those imaginary plots don't mean anything end of the day and if you think square gonna cry if ppl with housing stop subbing. Well I need the number to your dealer. They selling you some good stuff.
Everyday we always got new people. Not to mention we going to have a whole other platform added come dawntrail. Do you really think one person dropping their sub will even be noticed?
It's all of you who feel trapped when you actually aren't. You all just don't wanna give up virtual property that at the end of it all means nothing.
Think of this. What you think would happen if you screwed up and caught an account ban. I don't mean a 3 or 20 day one but I mean an actual one. What does your housing mean then? Does that also not show you just how unimportant you actually are to them. As shocking as that might be to people.
End of the day it's virtual and means absolutely nothing in the bigger picture.
You all need to stop with the victim complex. You are in full control of your decision making.
Also must point out that trials don't get access to housing at all. Just subbed players. Always been that way. It's a perk and not a detriment. Them having the auto demo in place is to ensure that if you stop subbing then after x amount of days it's recycled back to the community.
Again. Enough with the victim complex. Ya not being forced to do anything.
