First of all, quick lesson for you.
PvE Ultimate difficulty is a challenge, the enemy is a scripted high-difficulty AI, the items you receive are rewards. A challenge against an AI does not require an end to qualify them for said reward.
PvP Top 100 is a competition, the enemy is other players fighting for spots on the leaderboard, NOT a scripted high-difficulty AI, the items you receive are trophies. A competition requires an eventual end to lock the seasonal bests into qualify them. The reason Top 100 exists isn't to bully newbies with rewards they may never get, it is to encourage fiercer competition. You can call it FOMO if it makes your day happier.
This is PvE Ultimate vs PvP Top 100 in a nutshell. They are in every aspect literally incomparable.
Now, I'd kindly ask you to stop projecting what Yoshida will likely answer when asked about this topic as what we want for those rewards. Yoshida doesn't want to rerelease them to preserve the uniqueness for those who earned it, which is a valid argument.
We do not mind the gearsets and mounts being rereleased - we simply want whatever gets rereleased not be a carbon copy to the original. This would be as simple as adding a "Replica" in the name, or adding our rank number in the original pieces, hell making them blue or purple item quality would do too. We simply want what we have to be possible to be told apart feom others in a tooltip, everything else can stay the same from colour to dyeability.
In the western playerbase we do not mind replicas existing - put up that fight with the japanese playerbase and ask how they feel about the value of exclusivity, thank you very much and have a good day.
