Really grasping at straws now, aren't we?
I don't know what's funnier. That OP's not even making a bad point but people are so conditioned to hate him that they're defending withholding SB content from trial players in SB, or that OP's bait threads continue to rack up replies from people who claim to be immune to his bait.
The irony of this being the first post is actually incredible when you consider how long the thread's continued off of other people's replies alone. Nobody here can exercise restraint. OP can't stop making these threads, and people who hate him can't help but respond. It's a circle fueled by people on both sides with 0 self control.
Unfortunately forum moderation is so light that these topics don’t get closed down or the alt banned for so far down the line people have to interact to make it known which is one thing. I really don’t understand how they don’t notice the blatant alt like spam drama thread creation of it all, oh well maybe one day.
Because they adopted DILLIGAF for the forums, that's why they don't notice. They poke their head in every month or so(unless it gets to per personal attacks, blatant threats, or swearing it seems) and "clean" the place only to leave 80% of the misinformation threads from trolls around.
Yes, sellers capable of clearing ultimates reliably can already sell clears at no cost to themselves.
Skilled statics are good enough to complete 70 ultis with 7 players so they can sell corpse runs where the buyer lies dead on the floor the whole fight and then the sellers split the payment between them. Less-skilled or solo sellers offer pilot runs instead, where buyers give over their account info and the seller logs into the account and completes the content. In neither case does the seller risk anything; all the discussion happens on Discord or other 3rd party chat programs that Square will not accept as evidence for an RMT ban even if you could somehow get logs and link them back to the seller's character. So what little risk there is, is basically the risk of an untrustworthy seller stealing the account, and it's all on the buyer.
What allowing FTs into ultis would do is allow buyers to offer accounts up for cheapo pilot runs from untested sellers without risk, since if the seller steals your FT account, all you've lost is the week or two of skipping cutscenes and clearing fights on Very Easy that you invested to get that character up to post-StB. And if the cheapo pilot seller ends up being legit, you can just reclaim the account, change the password and all the account recovery details, and then go paid.
It's still an incredibly stupid and half-assed bandaid for the overall clear-selling problem, though.
I see we're opening up revolutionary new fronts in brain-poisoned takes.
And yet, there still seems to be a way to go before you reach a take so bad that nobody moves to defend it. Does such a point even exist?
