Unfortunately nothing guarantees anyone a housing slot as long as there aren’t enough plots for each player on a given server. That’s the issue I’d rather see them address, because if they fix that, most of the other issues are moot.

That's not my problem at all unless I'm able to go back in time. I've said it before but I'll say it again since it seems to be out of your grasp. Quit saying people are guaranteed a medium or large house by transferring to Dynamis when it is absolutely, 100% false.

I never said this. Not once.
Nor has anyone else.
All that's been said is that players are able to get a house if they transfer or make a new character on Dynamis. No one has made any promises about the size or location.
It's an option for someone who wants a house but has been unable to get one. For those that have a house and aren't satisfied with it, that's their problem they'll have to learn to deal with.
The chance to not win when there are 100 bidders:
0.99 = 99%
The chance to win at least once: 1 - 0.99 = 0.01 = 1%
The chance to not win 5 times when there are 100 bidders each time:
0.99*0.99*0.99*0.99*0.99 = 0.9509900499 = 95%
The chance to win at least once: 1 - 0.95 = 0.05 = 5%
The people who bid more times already have a higher chance to win at least once compared to players who just started to bid. Why should the odds be stacked against new bidders even more? People asked for a fair system and random is fair.
What if we just finally admitted the wards are mistake and go for an Ȉ̷͚͒́n̸̯͇̩͊ṡ̷̖̄ẗ̷̩́̿͂ȃ̶̻̂ͅn̶̮̿͆͑͜c̴͕̭̘͛e̵̪̘̯͗ḍ̵͒̀̕ ̸̗̃͐H̵̡͌̊̔o̵̢̝̳͑ů̴͕̲͠š̷̥̯͖i̵̘̲̯̓̑ṅ̷̛̰͕̺̋g̷̩̈́ ̴̦͍̜̉̋̂S̴̲̄͜͠ȯ̴̤͙͊l̸̪̟̬̒́͆ṳ̶̭͂̃̉ț̸̡̜͐ĩ̷̫͑͒ọ̶̧̯̀̓̐ṇ̵̛̊͜
scary I know
Instanced housing would go a long way towards helping, but its not the unlimited supply that people seem to think it is. You know all those times of high server stress when you can't enter your house or your island?
Don't misunderstand, I think instanced would be better than what we have now. I just want people's expectations of it to be realistic.
