They're not an FFXIV content creator but Moon Channel has a pretty interesting video essay discussing about how most modern MMO-developers are focusing more on the power progression and pursuit of power and forgoing content that foster social interaction and community building. （*´▽｀*）

I would just like to bring attention to Sarixis and the wonderful rework idea videos he made.
Some are over a year old but I think the ideas are still very solid.
