This brings up a good point. Do we normally get a release date in the NA fanfest? Or is it not till the later ones, typically? I can't recall.

The ffxiv influencers are all the same. Mr Happy, Xenos, Arthars, Zelpa. All of them will doompost about how terrible the game is when it gets to the later parts of an expansion or patch and, then as soon as new content is on the horizon they will switch to bring out the hype and play a part in SE marketing.
Don't trust what they say about the game, they just say what will get them the most clicks.
Watching the xenos/arthars/llamatodd Twitter feed of their shenanigans the past couple days hs been hilarious
I like Quazii and Zepla, but I don't share their optimism about fanfest. I think it'll be more of the same with a sprinkling of new type(s) of side content.
I don't, but thank you. :) I mean, I don't really "not trust" them (content creators), either. I just basically listen to the vid if I like it and click off it I don't, really. If they're making an actual argument about something and its interesting, I will likely stick around, but I don't see trust coming in to it one way or the other. I'm not taking advice from them or something.
I'm posting about this cus I am already excited and I linked videos I saw expressing that excitement. Its not the other way around.
Ah, yeah, probably. I forgot that they just gave like "Winter" or "Holiday" or w/e for EW at first.
I mean, that's what I expect too. Expansion title drop, part of a trailer, a smattering of images of some of the new zones, maybe a new job, possibly a tease on w/e the 24 man is, and then a tease about this expac's new gimmick/side thing like you said. And the new zone image stuff might not even happen for fear of spoiling 6.5's msq. That's all pretty standard for what they've done at previous expac-adjacent fanfests.
The lore panel on day two is likely to be good, but I recognize my excitement for that may be a bit niche here. lol
Of course these "content creators" are excited about fan fest. They are going to line their pockets with cash during the hype. When the hype dies they will line their pockets with "I QUIT FFXIV" content. The cycle will then repeat. There are very few true XIV content creators you can really count on.
... Guys, I just linked those b/c they reflected my excitement. I'm not promoting youtubers as life coaches. XD
I mean, I have my favorites-- quazii and preach being among them at the moment-- but why are we now talking about how they may or may not make money (the horror) and whether we can "trust" them??? That's not even remotely the point here.
This has taken a very odd turn. I would like to direct you back to the sentence: If you guys have any other fun fanfest related vids or creators you found you wanna share, please feel free.
I thought it was strongly implied that I wanted people to share their own hype here if they had it, but mission failed, I guess? XD
