Is Meracydia going to be a a inspired retelling of FFIX?

Yeah, most of my speculation on that theory is... a bit loose, to be sure. Maybe a lot of wishful thinking. But it would fit a lot of what we've seen, would explain some choices about stuff they've shown off pre-and-post-Endwalker MSQ, and would fit the bill on the Yoshida's whole "you guys are gonna say, 'wow they went that far?!'" comment.

But yeah we'll likely get a title drop and some concept art for some zones, maybe an empty walkthrough of one of them. I'm not holding out hope for a trailer. But hey, an FFXI simp can dream, can't they?

how can a patch ruin a 32 year old game? its not like Ff4 did change after FF14 realised the patch 6.x, Ff4 still has the same story plot as it did 32 years ago so how did Ffxiv 6.x ruined Ff4?
