Tanaka is a great person in game history. Tanaka, your efforts will be remembered and Thank you for bringing so much joy while playing your games! I hope you feel better soon and who knows maybe we can enjoy some new masterpiece from you!

You know those scenes where the hero slays the corrupted hero and the guy monologues about how he hoped to build a better world and then the hero tears up saying i wish it didn't end this way just as the sun comes up. Thats my feeling on this.

Alternately someone just shop the end of Code Geass where Lelouch is Tanaka and YoshiP is Suzaku.

That would be so spoilerific though. Seriously, great ending that telegraphs itself just the right amount so let's not ruin it for any future viewers shall we? ^.^

He's leaving for health reasons, if they found a cure to his problem, he could comeback someday ya?

I'd like to extend my thanks to Tanaka, for the many many years of Final Fantasy games I've enjoyed (and a few other games at that). I hope your legacy lives on, and new developers continue to have a vision that goes beyond the standard norms of the industry, such as you have done.

I would like to thank Mr. Tanaka for his work on creating my favorite series (Final Fantasy) and some of my favorite games (Chrono Cross, Xenogears, Mana).

It saddens me that the reason for your departure is a major illness, and I wish you all the best with your health.

I'm sure your legacy will live on with the new generation of developers, and hope to see your new creations in a near future.
