No it just means they are using what resources they already having to take time to design something else for this terrible engine. The conditions can and will most likely change in some way come 2.0. Yes you will be able to fight ifirit come 2.0...in the open world. Nothing is guaranteed to stay in or out at this point.

You really think SE just going to delete all the hard they did to make the fights? ya i don't see it happening that a big waste of money a easy change in storyline could easy fix the reason you fighting them in there.

For what it's worth. Kain H. is still doing the Garuda fight in 2.0.
