Alright hear me out: a dual blade wielder (not like Ninja, more like Kirito) which have two different kinds of weaponskills: Astral weaponskills and Umbral weaponskills. These weaponskills have their own separate cooldown and you can weave one between the other, allowing you to attack super fast by using two combos simultaneously.
Here's an example of how these combos could function:

I'd like to see them add a true support class (serious buffs, debuffs, crowd control) . But, that is outside the trifecta that we have now and will simply not happen. They painted themselves into this corner back in ARR. It would probably require party makeups to become 5 large instead of 4. Tank, healer, support, DPS, DPS. That also would mean dungeons would have to change - make it so trash mobs would wipe the party without the support class buffs/debuffs/crowd control.
Won't happen. If someone wants that sort of setup - SE would tell them to play a different game.

Never gonna happen because of what a nightmare it'd be to design, but was thinking a while back they could spin a Job off of Advent Children Cloud and his ridiculous 6-in-1 greatsword! Maybe with a bit of Dissidia Firion thrown in, for good measure?

Honestly I could almost see this (or something like it) work as kind of a novel take on "Riskbreaker" (of Vagrant Story fame)? Someone who works alone, with the right tool for every scenario, something along those lines? Not... that I'd want it to be a Limited Job, mind. Would need a new name though since GNB's already claimed the -breaker suffix.
Gameplay-wise, I imagine its basic combo(s) would consist of going through every weapon in the process of assembling the thing? Maybe in varying orders (if not free-form?) that yield different benefits? Once assembled you get idk, stacks? and a big Omnislash that breaks it apart. Or something?
Ideally I'd like it if it were DPS (giving us a Greatsword DPS, sort of, at long last.....), but it could probably work as a Tank as well, I guess.

Old Class from the FF series but revamped. Something like this:
Mime:
Type of Class: New Unique Class Trapper [So: Caster, Ranged, Melee, Trapper]
Class: Trapper
Weapon: A floating mirror that summons various weapons from within
Skills:
Repertoire - Usable every four minutes, let's you reuse the last skill you used with copycat.
Poise - Usable every four minutes :: Consume a party members' buffs and apply them to yourself.
Addendum - Usable every three minutes :: Select one party member and one of their skills at random has its cooldown reset, can also use it on yourself.
Imitation - Usable every three minutes :: Take half of someone's highest stat as your own.
Null N' Field - Usable every two minutes :: Sets a field that those who gets hit while in this field does X damage in adjacent to the enemy, lasts 20 seconds. (Similar to vengeance)
Jinx - Usable two minutes :: When active, during 20 seconds of jinx any skill that would affect a person will not affect that person but still give you the effects if it had.
Copycat - Usable every minute :: Select one party member and this skill becomes one of their skills at random without restriction. Consumes the charge of that skill and sets that persons skill on cooldown.
Closure - Usable every minute. Allows you to set a bomb on the map that explodes and is AoE (similar to Astro skill)
1-2-3[4]:
1-Abash :: Smacks enemy for X potency with your hand.
2-Flash :: Dark magic skill that you need to be close to cast.
3-Dash :: Throws knives and teleports out.
[4] Stash :: If Jinxed :: Allows you to place a bomb on the enemy target.
Aoe:
1- Flail, teleports in and hits enemies with a giant hammer.
2 - Entail :: Dances around placing bombs everywhere.
3 - Final Nail :: Teleports out and a giant dark nail hits the enemies
4 - Light N' Ail :: If Jinxed :: Casts light magic that puts a damage over time on enemies (lower than most DoTs).
The rest filler skills.

Ones I'd love to see, but I don't know how reasonable they are to ask for, include:
Privateer
I'm still wondering how we don't have a pirate Job yet, considering Limsa Lominsa's lore and all the pirate characters and enemies we encounter.
Ever since Sastasha (Hard), I've wanted to play a Job that uses that same sword and gun dual wielding setup.
It'd also be awesome if the Job crystal and questline involved learning from pirate ghosts, and possibly unearthing treasure to stop curses or earn new abilities.
I'd dearly love to be able to get a Job like this.
Chemist
This Job could entirely be made to work with "Job fantasy" mechanics by copying how Mudra works for Ninja, to make Mix work. They get certain combo abilities, and different combos result in different effects like single or AoE heals, regen, cleanses, or single or multi target damage or DoTs and debuffs. It wouldn't need to be a limited job whatsoever. (And I want less "tricky to implement" jobs to be "Limited", and more to be normal Jobs you can use normally. ,_,)
I've been aching to get this Job as it's one of my favorites, especially after the tease in Shadowbringers. Please, SE... Make it a normal, non-limited Job. It can work.
Beastmaster
This Job... probably can't exist at all unless it's made as a Limited Job. Which... I can accept, if it means getting it. I'm not sure what weapons would best fit for it, but other people have brainstormed and theorized about that and the abilities for years, so they have that better there. It's probably the least likely to happen due to needing to be a Limited Job. I'd still love to be able to get it, though.
Mystic Knight
This is another one I'd be very interested in seeing, which other people have brainstormed and theorized about better than me. It could work as a new Tank Job, but who knows what SE could pick that'd work well if they did make it. (And I'd be interested to see, like how Gunbreaker was an awesome surprise!)
Geomancer
I'd love to see this, especially since the removal of "geomancy" abilities from Conjurer/White Mage made it more possible.
Engineer
One of my old concepts left behind along with Chemist when Gunbreaker made it in, it was a concept for a tank that uses Magitek Armor ala FF6 or Iron Man. The damage mitigation would be largely upped via a layer of bonus HP which gets hit first or with bleedthrough, with some of the Job abilities to repair the Magitek Armor/suit. It'd basically be a shield tank, like how Scholar and Sage are shield healers.

I like how they do those Prime For Adventure streams in XI, & someone is always playing as a monster who shows up were they are going lol....but I digress.
