I am so, so tired...

Moving to another server is actually very reasonable solution if there is not anything else strong enough that is holding you on your original one.

I had a house on Ragnarok but I had forced break and didnt want to pay sub for a house. When I was able to play again my house was demolished and there was no way of gaining another.

So I moved to Phantom where were a lot of free plots with no bidders at all. Tehere are some even right now.

And as a bonus i met great people with growing free company. It was pretty win win situation.

Yeah agree with the above poster here. If you have nothing else holding you, maybe consider Dynamis.

Just win… it’s easy.

I won one of the best larges in the entire game with no competition.

1 billion gil doesn't equal to RMT. Some people are that good at making gil the honest way.

When/if you get that large, I suspect you still won't be happy.

If you're just playing for the housing, why didn't you transfer to Dynamis when it opened?

I know some of the other posters in this thread have their reasons for staying where they are even though they really want a house but you don't seem to have any.

Sounds like you're not being entirely honest with yourself (or us) about your reasons for playing the game if you won't transfer to the worlds that have what you want when that's all you claim you want.

This confuses me even more. Why pay almost $170 a year just to own a house in a game that you otherwise don't want to play? Wouldn't that money be better invested in the games that you do want to play?

4 new servers opening soon on Dynamis. There will be a total of 8 servers. They'll be plenty of large houses up for sale and if you're there for the first round a really good shot at getting a large. Of course waiting till the last day would be wise although I'm sure there will probably be some with out bids.

I have a 90 level alt on Hali and I chose a Lavender 11 but even after the first round there was a large there that went with no bids. Sold in the second round. I play on Siren everyday with my friends and we talk in a cross world linkshell. DC travel is wonderful.

To clarify, the 4 new worlds will provide 36,000 additional housing plots, including 3,600 Large plots.

In contrast, the recent 5 additional wards (4 excluding FC only's) merely added a total of 1,500 (1,200) additional housing plots per world, and 150 (120) Large plots per world.

Players can either choose to hope lots of other players make the move for those additional plots, reducing the competition on their already congested homeworlds, or they can choose to make that move themselves.
Competing with the same 30,000 players for 150 plots doesn't seem like a great deal compared to competing with a significantly lower number of players for 3,600 plots.

Yeap and with the advent of DC travel the issue of not being able to talk or play with friends doesn't hold water. There is nothing special about FC chat.... use a discord and crossworld linkshell it's pretty easy to do. I have friends with alts from Crystal who come to Siren everyday as well and we all play together.

Granted the issue of DC travel might become and issue during the height of a new xpac but there is plenty of time to join a new FC, make new friends and settle into a new DC before them. Houses are there NOW for those willing to take advantage. The prime plots won't last long so best to prepare and be ready when the time comes.

but one does wonder why they even need 1 billion (per house)with a history of already a dozen houses sold, are they gonna gift gil mounts to lucky limsa players!?!?! I somehow doubt that!
or why the housing market also has a real money discord that trades in paypal nobody likes to talk about.
or why anytime rmt is even slightly mentioned in the forums, the forums also get mentioned on those discords and a full defense force of sub shell farmers and house resellers coming to shut down all discussions and tell everyone how "everything is perfect stop talking about it! people just like to have 20 retainers with gil cap for funsies!"
