Someone never did the Carpenter quest lines or ANY seasonal event mini cutscenes. As that is how Beatin has always been in the English version of the game. It's a running gag now more than anything. It's also why many fans feel that the poor guild master will be forever alone cause he literally can't stop talking about wood in such a manner that makes most cringe and others run away in the opposite direction. I'm just glad he stopped whipping out his saw while expressing his enjoyment of wood or the harvest dance. As yes he's in that quest line to unlock said dance. You really are starting to make people doubt that you play this game even more if they haven't already done so at this point. So, no it's not just things the new team has written. Course Koji is half the reason any semi lewd and suggestive things got put in before he got added to XVI's dev team. To the point that those phrasing and hints made some people dislike and feel uncomfortable at some things they'd hint at.

It's kind of funny, in french he only makes pun about wood or use figures of speech related to carpentry. Honestly this fits the character.

This man is Guildmaster Beatin and he has a huge fixation on wood(as any good carpenter, of course), I am sure this isn't the first, or will be the last, innuendo involving his character...

I am so glad they changed that. There is innuendo and fun ect, but that was just bloody creepy.
