I'd love to see the Lupin as a playable race in one day, or a reptile one.

Won't happen in FFXIV.
Maybe in the next MMORPG they make.

Developing any new races or even re-rigging all the gear to existing ones is absolutely massive undertakement.

I'd rather have them spend the effort and resources in other parts of game.

I'd love Bangaa but that's not happening. Too many cutesy races for my taste. But new clans would go a long way. Along with a good character creator. The current one is just meh.

maybe in like 3 expansions time
but after female hroth don't expect more for a long time

I'd love a fish or Aquatic based race tho (just because raens live like Gungans doesn't mean they count)

An alien race a-la Omega-M and Omega-F would be fitting aesthetically, but completely impossible to implement lore-wise.
