Most people in Alliance raids follow someone that seems to know what they are doing, when they aren't sure themselves.
Fun fact.
When someone start with "This is not a troll post", it usually is.
Alliance raid mechanics are very repetitive. People run the raids over and over even the first week to get the loot they want. They could also run on multiple characters. I doubt anyone is using addons for alliance raids.
I'm interested in knowing exactly what encounters you are referring to, because at least in normal raids and alliance, the vast majority of AOEs are scripted and it's almost second nature for caster jobs to get into position beforehand during our GCDs. You don't need addons for that.
Hey mate, hope you and yours are well and healthy,
here is my 2 dollars.
correlation does not imply causation
Just Because players move before there is a telegraph does not equate to addons.
Nothing new mechanical-wise came to this expac. Most things are, in fact, repeated with a new paint color on them. Plus, while it's new content, it's max level, and people are, good players. That doesn't mean they use addons mate.
I will gladly sell this bridge here. Because throwing accusations does nothing.
Who knows, they could be lucky
They could know what to do because they play often and well.
They can be very aware of their surroundings, most things are, as mentioned by others, telegraphed before hand.
There is no need to accuse people.
Thank you for your time, stay safe and well WoL
Wait, huh!?
So me knowing how the fight goes and pre-emptively moving to the correct spot because I know what I'm supposed to do is a bad thing?
I thought this game was choreographed or something. Mechanics are often predictable. Hell, I've ran Orbonne enough to do it blindfolded save for some RNG elements I will be expecting anyway... I've been playing this game long enough to know roughly how long I can greed before the AoE registers. You're telling me now that it all can be misconstrued as me using third-party tools?
Remind me to never pay attention on week 1 of content then, because yikes :s being somewhat decent at a game and bothering to learn it means someone might report me for "using third party tools"! What, we now have to play like we got periodically lobotomized??
Aw hell no, I know how Square Enix works! The GMs shoot first and ask questions never! I'm not risking that!

I don't think it makes much sense for anyone to work on a plugin which would help people clear one of the easiest alliance raid released in those last 5 years. If people want to clear so badly they can just be carried in any DF group.
And it would be insanely fast too. Most mods didn't even work for a full week and triggers aren't just a toggle to be activated somewhere.
So unless they post specific exemples who can't be just explained by "they read the telegraph faster than OP did", I don't believe it.
Eeeh... I mean, I get what you're saying but... XIV's fights have always for the most part been choreographed dances. More often than not, after repeating a fight a couple times, a lot of people can easily predict the next attack and move appropriately even before the telegraph shows.
So again: I get what you're saying, but your reasoning is a bit flawed. You can't actually prove who's using addons and who isn't just based on movement.
Just in case I haven't been clear enough: I get what you're saying, and if you're trolling, I guess I took the bait. If not... I'm sorry but this post is just weird.
On the plus side, the group is probably more likely to succeed. So, yay!
