Good job! You found an example when I said "for the most part". Never said there wasn't any.
Also, bahamut has been a stand in in final fantasy games way before ff14 so that's a carry over name from a different writing team.

I'm mainly speaking about in the entertainment media. Japanese company's very commonly use stereotypes that some would say is offensive. Just look at how black people are in anime.
