So will Island Sanctuary become more like WoW Garrisons?

Garrisons had some rather big flaws, were unfinished, wrecked the economy and I wouldn't ever want a copy of them.

But, and I didn't think I'd ever be saying this, WoW Garrisons as content on release were miles above Island Sanctuary on release.

Doubt it, but I'm not a Dev. I wouldn't expect anything to far from what it is now thou.

This already happens. IS use the same instance area as apartments and houses. Remember on island release, a lot of populated servers had massive troubles to enter anywhere because of it. Adamantoise, Bry and Balmung had that happen.

I think it's safe to say it happened everywhere (maybe not Materia). This is what they want to avoid by not giving us too much convenience in these spaces.

You arent the only. My boyfriend and i both liked the garrisons and wished the kept rolling with it. I think it just tends to be people who complain are more vocal then people who are content. My only grievance is that i wish it had more customization which had it gone over better they may have actually kept updating or maybe even done instance housing.

Islands arent tied to player progression or power. Its entirely an optional distraction so no, they're not like the Garrisons system which forced players to do em.

Because we all remember how successful was WoD Garrison, right?

What? No. They were never even advertised as a base of operations. Where is this even coming from? It's a mini-game where you go kill a few chill minutes every now and then and that's it. I don't get where the garrison thing is coming from.

Oh yeah, I haven't looked in on my island in a few weeks. Wonder if the animals ate the mammets yet.

I feel like you're all being purposely dismissive, difficult and derailing/ignoring the main question just because I compared Garrisons to Island Sanctuary. The point of the post was that Garrisons aka WoW scuffed version of player housing have it's equivalent to the market board, bank, mount stable, and glamour dresser, etc. So I was ASKING if anybody hoped we got these for our island sanctuary, and other features of convenience like Garrisons, all of the resources, everything would be there and we'll never have to leave when not in dungeons, ques, etc.

So, FC bank, glamour dresser, market board, Chocobo stable, retainer bell, aesthetician, etc.

Yet, you're all up in arms over things that are irrelevant to my initial post and the point of it. Who cares if it's "NoT LiKe GaRrISoNs!", that literally has nothing to do with the post. The point was, does anybody hope these things get added to IS, nothing more.

(Frustrated because my post was apparently featured on Zepla's stream and people were being rude)

So far I am loving IS because it reminds me of Garrisons, who cares if it doesn't remind you of Garrisons, it does to me. And I wouldn't want IS to become a throwaway feature just so wealthier players can lavish in their player housing. I want a reason to keep on coming back.
