Haven't seen either of those mounts yet, but I'm assuming its because Hesphestios uses them when we fight him in Abyssos 8th Circle.

True... Had no choice but to buy the carbuncle mounts. I'd much rather have things like those in game as rewards. :<

It has to still have its extendable tongue, so when we kill an enemy, Smol Proto Carbuncle eats them. xD

Honestly, I love this tier's savage mount, but being very real... Proto-carbuncle as a mount would be even better!

They should sale that green crack thing he ate off the floor, to allow us to morph into him for like 30 seconds, even if we can't attack anything.

It's kind of annoying that we got an Alte-Roite/Phoenix/Yol reskin for the savage mount instead of Proto-Carbuncle... I would have preferred that SO much better. Fingers crossed for next tier...

all those early pulls by Ifrit-egi in Stormblood when glamoured as a Carbuncle were just the ancestral memory of proto-carbuncle peeking through.
