Ideally she would be the first of many characters replacing parts of the scions. If the writers don't kill them, they can at least have them become secondary characters and give us a new main team.

But i can't deny that there's huge chance that she end up dying or being our enemy down the line. Or even rejoin us as an Azem shard ( i'd rather have her be her own character thought).

Oh god, i'd rather have Golbez be our shard of Azem in the 13th than getting Ardbert 2.0.
At least evil version of us could be an interesting dynamic compared to have one be a friend again.

I'd much rather it be Golbez than Zero, if only because it would be the less predictable outcome... though it would match the events of FFIV more closely that way. About as closely as it could, given Golbez cannot be the WoL's brother (in any way that would make sense)

And then some mcguffin/ex-machina will bring her back, even if she's not around for the next expansion. Because the lead writer loves the forced attempts at tragedy followed by fakeouts since 5.3.
Perhaps not as much as she loves forcing emotional reactions out of the player character at the cost of a disconnection but still...

She did say she died multiple times, but being half voidsent meant she could return. I expect her to at least "die" once in the upcoming patches

But on a side note, everyone sees the issue of the statement Azem is the Unsundered WoL, right? Or is it still valid since we know there is a way to split a person with a crystal and make a familiar with that crystal like Lahaloaf did with whatever his name is in Pandaland.

I feel conflicted on her as a character. I also would of preferred the other form or maybe a male highlander. They just wanted a new waifu in the msq to be a fan favourite for merch etc
