Why does "The Island of my Dreams" look exactly like everyone elses?

I'm going to ditch the bathhouse. That thing looks ugly and if I need to bathe I have an entire ocean just down the hill. The windmill at least has the potential to provide some power.

This is why we were told to temper expectations

"it's like animal crossing and stardew valley!" sure, without anything that made those games good

I hope eventually there is actual customization to the island from the flora, to new animals, inviting NPCs, adding a house (that is also customizable), exploring new places & island events that let us collect special decoration items. I'd also like seasonal changes that are visible.
I want to be able to decorate & design everything so I can create the actual 'Island of my Dreams'
I hope that we can invite our friends to participate in mini games & events- These are things that made animal crossing & stardew valley fun

This lady has her dream island.

No difference with people's house to be honest, all of that option and they choose to use between Florist and Cafe Walls...

Not sure why everyone is complaining so much. The Island is perfectly fine and enjoyable.

They've already said they are adding more to it in 6.3.
We're getting another area in 6.4 or 6.5 to expand it further.

They've already exceeded expectations with what they delivered.

Perpetually at Rank 4 for this very reason. I pick at it because I want the glams but it's not what I was expecting. That being, Stardew Valley with minions.

Even your house in Stardew Valley lets you sleep in your bed alone. Not with mammets watching you in the open air.

Same for me. I got to Rank 4 and the tutorial ended, and when they said "congragulations! you've unlocked all the main features" I just noped out, and I don't think I'll be back.
