They were just three examples and we got one of them. And I am fine with chocobo and magitek.
And no, you cant compare airships, boats, ships or dragons with normal mob mounts. Everybody is just fine with the idea of a magitek mount - did you take notice of that?

Also yes the only mount confirmed for the future is the magitek armor. The drake and ahriman, as others have said, were being considered/played with but they went with goobbues instead. -
