Is FFXIV a good game after all?

Actually, I like this game so much.

I'm trying to play FFXIV the way SE want it to be. *Deleted by moderator*

I'm only itching to log in because I need to give away like 50 million gil worth of items to my friends because I'm quitting.

There are many good things about FFXIV, but the lack of content and the fact that they're turning it into WoW makes it into a bad game overall. Or at the very most, into a neutral game.

Well I think its atleast playable for the 10% of the games population still logging in(which includes me and my wife).

I enjoy playing FFXIV. I don't think it's that terrible of a game. I find a lot of the time that people who have put a copious amount of time into their account enjoy it less because they have reached a point where they want to do something more considering how far they have advanced so quickly as opposed to those who take their time advancing. I guess SE is trying to address game content which I am sure takes money but it doesn't help that it's still free because that's the money that could help go towards that project. I'm just taking a wild guess at things because I don't know how it works exactly. I don't want people to leave though because it's lacking content. I trust it will come in good time. =)

lack of content you like..... there is content and stuff that ppl asked for like npc quests.

Just be thankful there is no server wide global chat. I played Aion a lot and it felt like nearly every 5 minutes someone would use the LFG chat to say Aion sucks and WOW rules. I loved WOW for a couple of years but when Aion came out I preferred Aion. If you think WOW is better just play WOW. That said if I had of been able to solo grind while waiting for a group in FFXI I never would of left. Now in FFXIV I can solo grind but can't find a grinding party. Sigh!

XIV has a ways to go, but I am confident it will get there. It's fun to play now, will just get better with time.

One of the main reasons i still play is because i have some closed friends in this game. IT is nice to play together with them and have fun. Second reason is because i think this game will become something i like. (I will like it more when mount system is out because lack of anima and wasting time on walking is what make me feel less interest on this game atm)
