I'm not defending SE I'm explaining how they function. Something with direct evidence is going to get acted on. Seeing a guy in the same gear going on the same route is not direct evidence, it's circumstantial. From SE's point of view, the possibility exists that he's not a bot.
It's also why we have the "rule" that it's ok to use addons as long as you don't say you're doing it in ingame chat.
The sad thing is that it takes a long enough time for the bots to grind through Eureka or grind up their DoH/L jobs that it's not like they'd even need to be banning them that often to stifle their activity.
They're not instantly replaceable like the ARR gil farmers (Who seem to have fallen out of favor lately).
The whataboutism takes are coming in full force today.
Oh yes:
RMT botting is as much of a cheat as chat bubbles.
PVP speedhacking bots is as much of a cheat as UI mods.
Savage ACR bots, doing your entire rotation for you, is as much of a cheat as buff timers.
Maybe they should target the severe forms of cheating first and leave people who literally don't harm anyone else with their chat bubbles and UI mods alone?
