When should you leave a FC?

I kinda feel this way too especially since most of the time you already have a circle who is already friends sorta being the most active and running the FC and know each other since before, I think this is fairly normal really tho.
Obviously there's degrees to this tho, if they're being rude or something then there's a problem.
But just like irl if you have a group of people who are already friends and then you try and hangout with them then you're going to feel like an outsider sorta intruding.
I don't think that changing FC is going to change this really.

But please do consider that raiding and FC don't need to go together, and in fact are probably best separated. FC for social and a static for raiding. Then drama won't cross between the two.

If you don't feel welcome, just leave and find another FC that has active players that do the things you like.

Of course, it's up to you but it really does come down to what you want out of an FC (and if there are any specific requirements of you as a member). If your reason for being in an FC is to do specific, scheduled activities with other FC members but you're not on when those things are happening then the FC isn't going to work for you. If the FC has an expectation that you'll be there for Activity X but your schedule doesn't permit that, then the FC isn't going to work for you. If, however, you just want to see the other members when you can but otherwise are okay with connecting through a discord, etc. and just enjoy the loose social aspect then not always being around at the same time isn't as much of an issue.

Either way, I don't think you need to worry about any sort of lasting social pressure just because you leave an FC and want to find another one. If it's not working for you, it's not working. I would advise, just for courtesy, to let the FC leader of one of the leads know your plans before or even after you leave instead of just disappearing though.

My biggest red flag is when most of the events happen on discord. I would rather play the game and chat there than hearing people talking on voice all the time. Its so draining.

Yeah. Discord's a bit of a deal breaker for me when it comes to various online activities. More than a few of the FCs I've joined over the years have utilized Discord for 99% of their needs. That's a hard pass for me. I shouldn't have to use a third party tool to do content or socialize in an MMO. Not that I'm an overly social guy to begin with, but still.

i say if you aren't happy and getting what you are wanting from the FC it night be time to look around for a new one
