Remove all the useless buttons.
Boom. You're left with a grand total of maybe three spells. That's a trim if I've ever seen one.

A thought I had for SCH is that Dissipation should be used to consume the fairy gauge, changing the fairy ability buttons that are currently just dead for the duration. Remove the current gauge skills completely as their own buttons. Reduce the cooldown of Dissipation, but rather than directly recharging aetherstacks have the gauge consumers do it. Or let you freely drop out of Dissipation returning stacks according to how much gauge you have left, etc.
You just described healer dps kits. Also heals are just 90 % of the time the same effect with different looks. Like hell even wow as early as tbc had interesting healing abilities like earth shield, lifebloom and chain heal and that got even better later in game we’re the raid took high dmg and you had interesting healspells
Sage is basically the model they need to use going forward. Combine things.
- Tarochloe: Heals target and gives a damage reduction buff on target.
- Kerachole: Reduces damage and has a regen
- Physis: Increase heal potency and aoe heals
- Holos: Aoe Heal and reduce damage taken
- Peuma: Damage + healing
Etc Etc Etc. Some of the abilities can be stacked, some can't. That's where the skill comes.
Imagine if SCH had similar?
Lustrate: Heals target and reduces damage
Indom: Aoe heals and increases healing
I see some people keep saying this but how is SGE anything like WHM?
It's just a SCH with less button bloat and fairy clunk. Considering Sages "Dark Arts" only affects 3 skills, 2 of which you rarely use and not like half your rotation, how is that a negative aspect of the job? If anything Eukrasia is what allows Sage to have instant cast Adlo which is great for mobility.
Fey Illumination? Protraction? Sacred Soil? Expedient? Every healer has skills with more than one effect (Assize, Earthly Star, Macrocosmos, Asylum, CU, Exaltation...). It's not SGE's prerogative, and speaking of SGE, this job has its fair share of skills that should be combined with something else (or deleted) as they are very underwhelming in their current form (Zoe, Soteria, Rhizomata) so I wouldn't be so quick to treat SGE as the paradigm for healer design.
Also, the only skills SGE can't stack are Taurochole and Kerachole, and this is only a """problem""" in dungeons and dungeon healing is trivial. There's no skill involved.
If you mean Addersgall, that's literally a copy paste of Scholar, not White Mage. White mage's Lily system revolves around the Blood Lily, which Sage doesn't have, without it the gauge has no reason to exist.Quote:

For AST:
Delete Undraw.
Make Draw and Play the same 1 button as it used to.
Add more charges to redraw to compensate.
Delete Crown Play and make it the same button as Minor Arcana.
In fact, I don't mind if Minor Arcana to be deleted entirely.
It used to be the skill that changes unwanted cards into Lady/Lord.
Now there's no interaction with our cards at all. It's just an extra button to press just because...???
I don't feel like WHM suffers from button bloat.
SCH could use a little trim but I have no idea.
