A New Restoration? Ala Mhigo?

Instead of Ala Mhigo or Garlemald can we maybe restore something that's worth restoring?

Both are worth restoring.

I half expect the 3rd "tribe" to be the various ghosts of Ultima Thule because of that quest/hub.

It's hypothetically possible that the Ala Mhigan restoration is ongoing in the main city that we rushed through during the dungeon. If we ever did get a restoration event I expect it would take place in an instanced zone repurposed from the dungeon.

Plus the weirdness of time here means that all they need to do is make it a level 70 questline (like the Firmament is 60) and it happened immediately after Stormblood all along, even though we didn't experience it until now.

In any case, even without any repair work happening, you have to admit that the Ala Mhigans are in a much better state than the Garleans right now (or the Domans post-Stormblood). Their buildings are mostly intact and they're not in danger of dying from the cold.

I wouldn't be surprised of Garlemald restoration's tied to the EW Custom Deliveries their mom's going to be in charge of. "Please help subsidize my darlings' goal of a restored Garlemald. I know we're insanely rich, but all I have on me are these scrips. Go talk to Rowena...sucker.".

I'll be honest, I find Ala Mhigo to be a very boring location. I rather help bring back Garlemald to how it used to look before being ravaged by civil war. I want to see what their technology was capable of.

I understand that bit tho. I just don't think it was ever given a chance to look good. I believe it's an agreed on point the Royal Menagerie is beautiful. The architecture in the Ala Mhigo dungeon looked super nice, plus the royal menagerie and the actual castle looks great if you ignore the gaudy imperial stuff in it. Hence why I'd love an Ala Mhigan OVERHAUL. Not restoration since it's still intact.

I'm not AGAINST a Garlean Restoration, but Ala Mhigo needs a much needed facelift first. It came first, it should get fixed first.

Not only that but we already did Doman Reconstruction, albeit it was a different form of what Ishgard restauration was the concept is the same.

I am honestly expecting Garlemald Restoration given how destructed it is and the new alliance we have with the Garleans, in fact I expected it to start in the next patch since

it appears the Twins are set to help the garleans and we don't know exactly what the other scions plan to do yet.

I understand how you feel, I love Ala Mhigo but honestly I feel it would be too much on the fly, like we just got garlemald as map, it's history and it still something that is fresh on our minds while ala mhigo....was 2 expacs before, roughly 5 years and in the mean time we had Doman restoration, our whole adveture on the First, ishgard restoration which had a storyline based on, garlean war and finally the whole planet exodus thing. there just a whole lot going on if they just did anything ala mhigan related I would rather have an entire patch dedicated about it but sadly, I think the 6.1 patch will be focused on Garlemald at least the part where it doesnt focus on the whole Twelve alliance thing.
