It's most definitely going to be "Speak with Taturu" for the very first quest and she'll probably tell you to go visit somebody else that wishes to talk to us.

Probably a minority here but I never really felt any 'bond' with the Scions for the last 7-8 years I played the game. They feel very bland, inoffensive by design, though they occasionally have their individual moments. It's weird since I generally like the main casts of any FF, even the ones regarded as annoying/dumb like Selphie/Zell, Eiko, Tidus, etc.
I know people always talk about all of Alphinaud's development after HW but I don't really see it myself. As far as I can tell he still has the same ideals, the same preachiness, the same using us as a tool, he merely toned it down after the playing army with Crystal Braves using mommy/daddy's money backfired on him. It's like saying I developed as a person because I learned not to touch a stove burner. It's been a long time and I forgot a lot of stuff, but did he ever apologize for using us? Same with Alisaie, who doesn't seem to have changed since Coils with coming to terms with Louie's death and finding her own path. Funnily enough she complained in-universe about not having any character arc... at least she got a fancy onesie, I guess.
I’d say a lot of these complaints stem from a lack of conflict between scions. I’d think a misfit band of adventures who stick together out of necessity would be more interesting than another group of super best friends.
I’d say there’s potential in inverting some scions as well, namely Graha, Urianger, a twin (not both), or even the cat girl.
I don’t think the completion status of a particular arc should be the first concern, however.
I've a feeling this'll devolve into yet another "Which Scion Would You Kill?" thread.
Nobody needs to die to exit the stage, and we've already moved past the point where deaths could have had any meaning (personally, I'd welcome them going out with a whimper instead of a bang anyway. No heroic sacrifice involved, they just got swatted like a fly (Zenos, you suck since you didn't do it), but that's not happening). Obviously since none of them died during doomsday, it's extremely unlikely that any of them are EVER going to die for any reason. Then again, they could just as well decide to focus on their hobbies or whatever.
Have to say I agree that it's well past the point where it would even have an impact after 6.0. The time for it was either during the course of 5.0 or 6.0. At this point retiring them from the main stage is the best that can be hoped for.
Also agree with the OP on the ancient cast being much more to my taste (even if the post-Elpis stuff soured my view of one of them.)
Eh, only major fault I had was Aliphinaud in Garlemald that he had no clap back to the Legatus terrible speech about how people won't accept Garlean rule. That we just sat back & allowed him spew that BS was weird.
Other than that I agree with Graha hate I liked him as Exarch but as Graha on source he's just become annoying, he went from a leader, fairly confident & assertive to a meek little fanboy who stumbles over his words & has to be shoved into storylines by other characters like when Ysthola has to make him tag along with us & Alisae to Azsy Lla. Worst part is since he's Ishikawa boy he got a lot of screen time in fact he got the big moment with music in UT going into final form at his sacrifice & not the Twins like what?
