1 - 50: It's fine.
50 - 60: It's fine.
60 - 70: It's a slog, HoH is mind-numbingly boring and it's a horrible step of the leveling process.

Just dungeon bash. Save Alliance Roulette, MSQ roulette, and levelling roulette for level 88. Those three alone get you 88->90 if you get Praetorium.
I have every Job at 90 this way.
Yeah it'd be nice if sidequests felt more rewarding. There's already way less people doing fates from what I've seen, and I've never liked dungeon spamming in this game. So it's probably just gonna be a few months of occasional roulettes before I've got everything maxed again. Don't think I wanna drag myself into more than that lol
Might give Bozja a shot though if it's actually still a decent option. Still need some of those field notes...
Yeah, it's very sad that outside fates are already dead. Most people maxed them in the first few days and didn't look back. Bozja on the other hand is always super crowded, and it's much faster levelling than normal fates, even past 80.
I wish they'd give us at least 1 beast tribe and the new deep dungeon before everybody's already done getting all classes to 90 though. I find it weird how late they come in.
i am fine going through the msq once, the whole point is to funnel people into roulettes/old content/duties so that they're not doing msq over and over again because it'd be the most efficient way (as they stated, they intended for msq exp to be enough to level one job). you think it's a waste of time? that's the whole point though, leveling is meant to be a process, but it takes like one or two days to get a job to 90 after the first job is 90, with armory bonus, fc actions, personal actions from squadrons along with food exp buff and trusts, there are many avenues to level and to make leveling take the least time possible.
the beast tribes and deep dungeon are added much later on to provide other ways for those who came in late, most people will level everything to 90 or what they want 90 in the first month or so (i myself have three jobs left to 90 and then i'm done with everything in terms of leveling) and then wait for new content or farm the current content. for those that have everything 90, these are simply another mount/minion/glamour.
I feel you, OP, but that would defeat the purpose of getting you to help other players via roulette etc. Once you've done your MSQ, your optimal continued leveling experience is designed to facilitate keeping low queues for new players.
That said, there are many avenues you can pursue to level up pretty quickly (most have been laid out already, so I'll just bullet list)
1) Before everything else, make sure you have all the +XP items you can get for the job/level range you are at. The Brand New Ring, various earrings, food, etc.
2) Daily Roulettes, typically "Leveling" and "Trials". The MSQ one is great xp, but is long and boring. Your call there.
3) Beast tribes for levels the expansion covers. So 50-60 jobs would be with the 3.0 Beast tribes. You can go higher, but there are diminishing returns.
4) Niche leveling spots, like Deep Dungeon, Eureka, Bozja.
YMMV depending on how much time and effort you like to put in. Personally I don't like #4 above because there is a chance to miss the fates, or die in PotD and get nothing at all..but friends of mine swear by them.
I just use the alt jobs I want to level for most of the roulettes (only do Expert and Alliance on my main for the tomestones). Also, I feed whatever EXP I can from the Challenge Log and Wondrous Tails to the alt jobs. Challenge Log rewards scale to level 80 if I'm not mistaken, while Wondrous Tails EXP scale all the way to level 90.
I feel that leveling alt jobs is fine when done over a longer period. Can't comment on doing it in a short time, though.
