BLM Thoughts.

Blackmage is absolutely fine as it is now.

Like, back in heavensward ui and af had a timer and enochian had a separate timer as well. Back then you had to juggle both and if one of those went out, you basicly stopped dpsing.

This job has a history and if you have been there from the beginning then everything will feel organic and make sense

Beginners now have it a bit harder, since they dont see what actually changes and what purpose those things once had.

Without trying to say "git gud", BLM just might not be what you're looking for. It's the slowest job in terms of actions per minute in the game, and rewards fight knowledge and decision making more than most jobs because of this. That being said, it can still freely run around and cast for like 30 seconds straight using various tools in the kit, so it's about planning when to use your tools. BLM traditionally has, and still does, compete for the top damage slot in the game. The other casters don't compete with the melee like BLM does. Just because you found it too difficult or frustrating to enjoy doesn't mean the job is flawed.

Also, summoner can be played with a single button macro that only drops 1 GCD per minute. BLM isn't rocket surgery, but it is a slight bit ahead of summoner in terms of learning curve. This isn't a slight towards summoner, as I think the rework was largely successful at making the job better, but it definitely needs a few more buttons added in so that the gap between the skill floor and the skill ceiling is more than like five inches tall.

Honestly if you are having issues with lots of movement, use your xenoglossy to weave during those movements.
So long as you aren't "wasting" xenos by allowing them to stack beyond 2, you should be able to weave them for your movement.
Same for the new Paradox spell during your Umbral ice.
BLM has generally always had a bit of a rough time, but I do think they've hit a good spot in maintaining the turret identity while providing enough tools for movement.
