Grand Company Ranks: Are they being ignored for the foreseeable future?

I love squadrons. I wished they would revisit them. I would love to have them go up to level 70 dungeons & get higher ranks & more squadron buffs.

In theory future GC should be Grand Company of Eorzea now and not city-state specific Grand Company.

The ranks already exist though. I think his point is to give them a point. Nothing has a point in the design of game until it is given a point, and there were plenty of opportunities to involve the grand companies in the main story along the way. They mention them as existing and you see the troops around.
But anything you think has a point in this game has it because it was designed that way.

Currently Squadrons only go to level 60 and trusts start at level 70. Personally I think squadrons should go to 90 since they are superior to trust in several ways, but getting them to 70 would be a great reason to open up additional ranks.

Unlike Trust, you could customize your squadron. I'm currently working on an all-Lala team with one of my chars, and all-Miqo on another.

Personally, I’d like for them to just straight up cut out squadrons in favor of a revised trust system. I would have rather gone through Sastasha etc with like..Hoary Boulder and company than random generic npcs.

As for rank increases, there really is no point once you can just dump dungeon gear into points. You’d be fully ranked up in a week tops, no matter how high it went.

Please no turning Squadrons into Trust. I love Squadrons and hate Trusts with passion.
The only problem with Squadrons now is that they only go up to 60, and you don't really need squadrons help much for those levels, and often people aren't at the GC ran yet where they can use squadrons to level, below 60. I wish they'd expand them to at least 70, since that's an empty gap. Have them go all the way to 90 would be awesome but I know they'd never do that, cause of stupid Trusts.

They need to add more to GC and to stop taking away things. The biggest complaint on these forums is SE "taking away content" or "there isn't enough content" just add more to GC. We need more FC content anyways and we need more added to FC's in general.

He said he doesn't know what to do with ranks right now.

I was thinking maybe tie to them Frontline victories or something. Squadron is done though - that was clearly a prototype for what is now the Trust system.
