As far as I’m aware, all NA and EU data centers are experiencing this congestion during peak times. Not just some. This isn’t a conundrum contained to just “the most popular servers” on a data center. The only data center that I’m aware of that isn’t having horrid queue times—and hasn’t throughout this—is JP. But I don’t play on JP data centers, nor speak with anyone who does.

Not correct at All Aether is the worst , some Crystal servers don’t have queue above 100 even on prime time.

Even if that’s the case, they aren’t going to allow transfers for a select few servers. The situation is still messy for the majority of servers, so they’ll likely enable it again when the majority of servers are no longer having these issues.

There’s a maintenance on Tuesday. For all you know, they could enable it then. But otherwise, all you can do is wait.

I can some what agree to both of you, Behemoth on Primal DC has about a 1k queue in peak hours. That's a 5k drop from a month ago.

Some servers in Crystal barely have 300+ queues during prime time now, most of JP's servers only have <100 queues even during peak hours. Heck I checked Elemental DC's servers at 7-9 pm JP time and all my queues were at <30.

I don't see how they can't just let people transfer outside peak hours when most servers only have double digit queues.

I think it’s because the transfer service is either fully on or fully off for a given server. Versus character creation, which fluctuates. They usually have to shut the servers down for maintenance when they mess around with world transfer, so I’d assume it has infrastructure that doesn’t allow it to be free toggled on and off via a threshold like the availability of character creation on a certain world does.

No idea but, World Transfers gotta be up for that lol. I'm trying to go from Primal to Crystal.

This right here is probably why it is still off. If they were to open it up, a mass amount of people would flood from Aether and Primal to Crystal, resulting in Crystal being just as bad as those two are now or worse. Then everyone will complain about 'how could SE not have forseen this. I want my server transfer refunded.' Yes it sucks that it is still down, but until they have more information on how to alleviate the congestion there is no point in an update if its just going to be 'Yeah, same as the last thing we posted'.
