monk vs garuda

I was in hard mode, but not as MNK (WHM), I did state that in another thread but forgot to mention it here, sorry.

So yes, I saw the fight in hard mode. And I still think it's not an issue, even the teleports, mainly because you have to reposition yourself no matter if you are melee or ranged, and being closer to her is an advantage because you can move behind her faster.

As for turning, it's all about timing and predicting. I rarely miss a combo even soloing and that's harder than if a tank is present imho.

we used drg last night as well for the plumes and it worked out pretty well. i think he used leg sweep. not sure exactly.

see what i did as mnk was use back attacks to trigger the combos and when those combos were on cd i quickly jumped in front of her to start the frontal combo and continued on from there. thats why isaid its non stop dd and when u get hit its not huge so second wind usually will give u full hp again. im not saying that blm arent good in this fight, im saying that its another option. plus mnks dont have to really worry about mp cept when using abilities which doesnt take very much. anyways keep the info and suggestions comming. im soaking everything up.

With ballad of magi you don't really have to worry about mp, especially with the second rear combo giving you about 200-300mp back from sucker punch.

I used Ring of Talons, and I'm glad it worked well, I thought it wasn't going so good.

One thing DRG as second phy DD is how to control Chirada. WAR, with all the vokes and collusion, can hold Chirada for long enough to keep BLMs alive, but you if DRG can't do that, 800 a hit is tough for BLM to handle.

MNK instead of BLM on Garuda is not optimal, but it can be done.
