You might have been lucky then, because I keep getting the "An error has occurred" splash after trying to log in.

got booted from the game, then 5003’d when i tried logging back in my client showed this weird error: https://imgur.com/a/sgDIsVA (PS4 player btw)

That's due to this issue cropping up again. it's not because it is under maintenance:

It looks like the login servers are down. Same thing happened to me after 2 hours of waiting in queue. Looks like if you are in the game, you are fine but no one can log in at the moment.

When I manage to actually get it to log in and I hit play;

A ton of people got kicked, too - just not everybody. My discord server went from ~30 people in game to ~5.
