EW Zone 6 Music Post-MSQ (Spoilers)

I adore that song and it gave me all kinds of feels through the expansion, but after going back to Ultima Thule in order to unlock flying, I was disappointed it didn't revert back to the original spooky ambiance. The Endwalker song felt out of place now that the 'Epic moment' has passed and talking to the NPCs, still frozen in their state of despair and nihilism as these are but shades/echoes of long-dead stars, feels odd when there's hopeful music blaring in your ears. Though the stars have now been infused with hope, this particular area will forever remain a pit of hopelessness and despair, given that it's nothing more than a memory (and evidenced by the fact that the NPCs are clearly unaffected by the 'Endsong' having been silenced).

It's certainly not a major gripe, just a small disappointment.

The NPCs aren't frozen anymore, though. All the sidequests that pop up after the end of the game show everyone slowly recovering. Even the killer death robots do the happy dance.

... of course, if you ignored the sidequests on the way to The End, the sad ones are still there too, I'd imagine. But that's more on you.

I haven't got there yet, but I do feel annoyed at the music being on loop sometimes. I actually prefer to turn the BGM off sometimes even during MSQ.

Nah, I like it.

It puts back the distorted theme.

I play a TON of video games and I struggle to think of games with background music that use lyrics outside of fighting games, racing games, and the occasional RPG boss fight. I can't think of another Final Fantasy, RPG, or game in general that does this with an area's generic BGM. A song with lyrics grabs your attention. The song is meant to be BACKGROUND music. It's inherently in conflict with its purpose. There's a reason movies and other media don't bombard viewers with songs with lyrics, it takes away from your attention on other details of the media.
