Anyone else feel like the expansion is slow to start?

Totally slow! Haven't even managed to log in once yet!

The start is definetely slow because it introduce you two 2 city and their respective zone with context for both of them (The place, the history and the present situation)

The MSQ is a slog.

I found the pacing to be off. You would go do small tasks and read exposition for like an hour and a half for like 15-30 minutes of action. IMO the biggest issue was the hand-holding with plot explanation. It was pretty annoying to have made inferences and connections as the story goes on just for Y'shtola/Alphinaud to do their thinking animation and explain everything as if the player lacked critical thinking skills and didn't figure it out 5 quests ago. It was most jarring after the defeat of Hydaelyn when Y'shtola stopped everything to explain the plot.

Edit: That isn't to say that I did not enjoy the story. I just felt like my post had too much negativity.

Not really. It's called build up and pacing.

I found the entire expansion to be worse than SB in practically every aspect.
I didn't really care for any of the new characters added.
The story was predictable and boring with terrible pacing.
Some of the class adjustments are awful.
The trials were absolute slogs as the bosses were just health sponges.
The music, while not terrible, felt like a step down.
Dungeons were fine.

Worst expansion in my opinion.

I know they need to build the story, but I can't help but think Shadowbringers had a MUCH more interesting start. I was instantly interested in Shadowbringers and the new world, I actually wanted to explore and I was eager to play.

But this time around the story is just kind of, I don't want to say Boring but it's really teetering on that.

I will be blunt. If you are not down to watch about a 30 hour movie this expansion might not be you. At least caring about this expansions MSQ might not be for you.

You're seriously telling somebody who made it through three story-heavy expansions that they might not like a story-heavy expansion? Seriously?

Endwalker had some good points but, overall, the quality of writing tanked this expansion. The antagonists were more annoying than interesting and huge parts of the storyline were sloppily cribbed from anime plotlines.

That's about a week. Considering the story is dozens of hours of cutscenes and questing, this means you got dozens of hours ingame in a week. And you're... complaining about that?
