To those of you that have actually gotten to play EW, what do you think so far?

So far it's looking like it will be my favourite expansion. The lack of filler content is definitely nice and I'm feeling more interested than I have been in any other expansion. The dungeons are a step up from Shadowbringers and the trial was an amazing spectacle.

I've only done the first few quests of it, in favor of playing on an alt , but the first town you get to is simply beautiful so far. Great music, for day and night, and great scenery.

Just finished the lvl 87 quests and that last cutscene, it just shredded me. I'm at loss for words.

I have my Sage and RPR camping daily roulettes so they will reach lv80 to be in line with other classes. Today I just have Sage done. A bit disappointing that the lv80 outfit from Ondo Cup is exactly the same lv70 one, glam-wise.


Gameplay-wise, Sage is fun, visual-wise and audio. It feels like SE combines WHM's DPS and Scholar's barrier heal into the same class. Reaper feels like a DPS Warrior at lv70 with gcd-focus gameplay.


Stat-wise, it seems the stat squish certainly affects some low-level dungeons/raids. For example, the first boss of Temple of Qarn dies so fast that he cannot even use his trademark doom mechanic. Or maybe cuz it is a party of 2 Reapers and one Sage.



Story-wise, it is enjoyable so far me. The writing is thought-invoking. The escort quest that people complains about may be annoying if you do them while queuing something, cuz you may need to restart it. I love Sharlyan's night music and want that theme for my house.

I finished the MSQ, and I think I can safely I liked it even more then Shadowbringers.

Tears of sorrow and joy alike were had, which is saying a lot when not even the aforementioned got me to completely break down.

Just hit level 85 and without any spoilers, I think the thing I love most so far is the amount of payoff you get for your work in previous expacs, seeing so many people you've helped along the way return the favor. I also love how much time you get to spend with the Scions and getting to know them on deeper level. I've stopped to click on every NPC with dialogue before continuing quests and there are some real gems in there. I just love how fleshed out everyone and everything is.

Didn't bring him in, since I'm rolling DRK for MSQ, but Alphi can't keep up when I pull 2 packs anymore. A pity.

I'm not too far in, level 84, but I'm really loving the story, the characters, the environment, and background NPC details. Some of the new quest mechanics so far feels a bit over-saturated in how often you come across them, but it's still enjoyable. 4-mans feel fun as well, aside from my personal struggles of figuring out how to MNK. :V

I had one, where you go to visit the leader in one zone (long cutscene) Just before it ended and left you outside the gate, it suggested attuning yourself to the aetherite before you leave. The new area Aetherite was not available yet. (I reported this)

MsQ is weak but the new jobs are rock solid and the dungeons are epic probably the best I’ve been in ever the raid is pretty cool too loving make viera beauty animations exp feels fast at first but then slows down after 83 then speeds up at 88 at lad content still feels easy if you unsyc so don’t worry about that I almost maxed sage gotta say best healer to me so far
