It's your first hugely anticipated MMO launch I see

Man, I remember WoW's original launch. It was way worse than this. Not to say this isn't rough, but in the words of Cyan "Simmer down sirs."

It won't help any of us a bit. I'm sure SQ-E, is aware of and working on this. They aren't Blizzard after all.

look at the dumper fires of battlefield, GTA, new world. Day one it was hours to get in.
Many other games over the last few years.

Atleast the client is crashing and major graphics issues.

Already have. I do every time something like this happens, under the idea 'money is the only language they understand'. And yes, if they stabilize things of course I'll be back; I'm not out to see them cease to exist, just improve.

I don't kid myself that it means anything in the end, though - it's just nice to have that little illusion of control, like pushing the 'walk' button at a crosswalk.

Six hours trying to get in & counting.

Honestly it might be the most prudent course of action. Wait til the furor dies down, and save yourself $15. Come back in a month when you can actually log in.

Why is he unsubbing and why does he think people will care. Do people even know who he is?

If this was my first mmo, I’d leave. WOW doesn’t have these problems, so that big surge of people could leave. So yes, this could in fact hurt them.
