Suggestion: Trade-in old GC gear for seals back

I would not have bought a lvl 25 bow, I would have either used a crafted and waited for Kokoroons bow.

I believe you should work for your seals to buy the items, its what makes them special, if I choose to buy something in real life, use it for a good period I don't expect to take it back to the shop and get half my money back lol.

Sure I could sell it on Ebay or something but thats kind of besides the point, there is already plenty of ways to farm seal, this just sounds like people want hands out for doing nothing.

its not a hand out(and reselling exists in real life ebay, trade-ins, returns) and we already get more seals for a 10second NM kill than we do for doing a 30min caravan. and you would not have bought the bow? my point was you did buy the bow.. okay forget the bow, you buy the best weapon they have now at the GC, when the level cap is raised and that weapon is useless you are just going to throw away some thing costs (i dont know how much the highest ranking weapons cost) but lets just say 30k seals just throw it away? in real life if you had a $2k television and then you later upgraded due to whatever do you throw away that television? i hope not you sell it for a lower cost. the systems are already in place for item trades for seals whether it be crafting stuff or untradable weapon drops. this should be added its not giving away seals its returning a portion of what you spent on it. after all this is the grand company you are fighting with weapons are worth a lot to an army, and they should welcome its return so lower ranking people can then use the weapon(not that it refills stock but imagination)

If I no longer need the item yes I will gladly throw it away.

Just as I would convert a Primal weapon when I have no use for it.

About the TV well that's a bit different, because real life money > Virtual money.

Anyway I'm sure SE will bow to the pressure and add more trade ins for GC, but the easier they make seals the more they will increase the price of new items, so its not like you will be gaining anything.

Seriously @a 25% return on the original cost, why do all you people that didn't get/spend seals while leveling care, oh your feeling cheated cause when you got all your jobs 1~50 GC didn't exist. So now you want everyone else to suffer. I understand the rationale now.

What ? I levelled after GC's were added and its still a long way until they are all 50. ;)

I would like to be able to do SOMETHING with the gear other than trash it. Turn it in for a % back in seals, turn it into materia, hand it in for hamlet defense. Just tossing something feels icky...

^ I would rather it be turned into materia than in for seals.

I'm sure many would disagree with this though.
