Are you actually arguing that with 4 inches of additional flexibility in height in both directions, the races wouldn't be different from each other? Because if you are, I really don't think that's an easy argument to support. I'm fairly sure big rabbit ears differentiate you from a hyur much more than your height does, and there would still be very substantial differences in height :D
For reference, even with this change, the minimum height of Viera would be 6 feet, not 5. That's a far cry from 5 feet.
Take my opinion as it is. You do not have to argue with me to prove a point or attempt to sway my perspective because I am against your idea.
If something isn’t broken, don’t fix it. I don’t see the point in this change as amongst the long list of things that need doing and ideas that are in public demand, this is far from a priority as it’s such a minuscule change.
So basically you don't have a point or anything constructive to contribute and you don't want to be told so. I see.
"If something isn’t broken, don’t fix it" is literally the worst attitude toward the evolution of a live service game. Square Enix has tweaked tons of things that weren't "broken" over the years, and that contributed to improving the game rather radically, as many small changes add up to furthering quality of life. What's not a priority for you, can be a priority for other people.
Accept people’s point of view, me and you will have to agree to disagree, not everyone is going to be for an idea in the forums so you need to adjust to that.
Viera’s minimum height is 5’10 (178.8cm) and you want to further reduce it? I notice the significant difference and could do without the players making their Viera’s 5’6 height just for the sake of ‘cutesy’.
No is my final answer without further debate.
These ranges sound pretty excessive, especially with the way scaling works in this game. I can get behind male hyur midlanders being a little taller, but other than that I kind of like how the races are differentiated by height in general.
Part of me likes the idea of being even taller, the other is hesitant considering it's clear Roes aren't taken into account as it is (so much clipping, pixely, and/or ironically 'too big' looking gear...)
I'm afraid you're the one that needs to adjust to the fact that you can't just tell people to shut up (as you've tried to do since the start). If you post something on the forums, people are free to debate it to their hearts' content. 5'6'' is still a far cry from 5' and your differentiation argument continues to be moot.
You don't seem to understand that people being offered further flexibility for their characters changes nothing in your character. As a matter of fact, you could make your viera taller. Be your Amazonian highness if that floats your boat, but I'm not sure what your problem is if someone else wants to make their own character a little bit more "cutesy."
It's all about immersion. Would players make a huge Lala or a tiny Hroth or a shortstack bunnygirl? Certainly.
Are such things a reality of all races irl? Certainly.
But SE is trying to create and maintain a THEME and that is far more important to them than height diversity.
And yes, four inches can make a huge difference...
