Personally I like how it is a game of chance, no matter how infuriating it can be at times, and would like to see more but the OP's complaint is that it's a game of chance and it doesn't require any effort on your part to win. So I am just saying that I am not against a change that gives the player control and requires some effort. The last thing I want though is to see another game go way or get replaced.

I feel like we always lose a game when a new one gets added. Is there a limit to how many can be available at a time? Maybe they could make it more seasonal instead of retiring things forever.

Was not a fan of skin change. I’d like more gates that feel like actual arcade games or casino games.. like utilize the treasure map roulette system for something..or some more shooting gallery stuff. Give me a good ol fashioned slot machine.

I also wouldn’t mind an overhaul of the micro games like the moogle’s paw or crystal tower striker.

Any Way the Wind Blows has achievements. Skin Change didn't. I hated skin change with a burning passion too. Wish they would have kept the one with the pots though. I liked having to be a little bit sneaky

I like this GATE. I pick a spot > tab out > watch a youtube video > tab back in and either won or lost.

And the removal of that gate is the reason I hardly go to the gold saucer anymore other than the once-in-a-blue-moon, if even caring enough to do this, daily cactpot thing. Could have just made it an instance like those jumping ones.

Typhon is a great time to go grab a drink. I find I win more when I'm not looking at it.

And thats fine, but if it were my design decision i might have leaned the other way. The old ToyL was: 1. Find the NPC with your race and gender, 2. Recognize the 8 emotes on your performance bar and how you look doing them, and 3. Identify and be able to remember 4 emotes performed in a row. Thats fine for a GATE, it doesnt need to be more complex then that. But that doesnt mean you couldnt make a fun GATE with a slightly different action flow. Instead of 1 NPC for each race/gender combination, just randomly pick 4 NPCs(the 4 on the upper platform would be fine) each time the GATE spawns. You might have an exact match for your race/gender when you play, you might not(or if you wanted to make it harder, you could make it so each player sees different NPCs so no one ever has a perfect match). The playflow for this new version of ToyL would be 1. Find the NPC whos race/gender combination you know the emotes of the best, 2. Recognize the 8 emotes on your performance bar and how they look when performed by the NPC you chose to watch, 3. Identify and be able to remember the 4 emotes performed in a row. Similar, but the challenge is different and the scaling for new races is now much easier.

At least the emote matching minigame has returned (to some extent) in The Firmament.

I like Any way the Wind Blows because it is RNG based.
